i was born during the basketball finals ussr against yugoslavia, 539 years after vlad drakula and 539 kilometres further west. yugoslavia won. my parents were delighted. the foundations for my design work were i laid during my interdisciplinary studies in zagreb from 1989-1991. after frictions among the yugoslavian peoples, i decided to try out the german educational system in 1991. first i arrived at the bremer kunsthochschule, the bremen academy of fine art. while i was studying i worked in various firms center for industrial design zagreb, design gruppe jung, bremen, metadesign berlin, büro für gestaltung und formgebung (design) and, since 2000, for drakula berlin. in several lectureships appointments i was given the opportunity of conveying some of the design experience i had gained over the years to my students. under »teaching« you will find the assignments and lessons and the resulting student projects at the merzakademie stuttgart.
